Las Almunias de Rodellar
This locality belongs to the municipality of Bierge, in the region of Somontano de Barbastro. In 1991 it had a population of 19 inhabitants.
We are located in the geographical center of the Natural Park of Sierra and Canyons of Guara (one of the best places in the world for the practice of canyoning)
The canyoning is the most fun activity because you live many emotions and enjoy the landscapes of the Sierra de Guara.
The canyons and ravines are in the most beautiful, unaltered and sometimes inaccessible places of the mountains and their different geological formations.
All activity in nature and on the mountain involves risks. For these reasons it is not advisable to carry out any downgrade only or non-expert company. Therefore, it is important to go with a professional guide who will provide all the necessary materials as well as the knowledge to tackle the most fun and exciting way of tourism, safely, minimizing the maximum risks.
The Sierra also lends itself to trekking in a wonderful environment.

Las Almunias de Rodellar is the ideal place to start excursions to the Sierra de Balcés, Pedruel, Sierra de Arangol and Sierra de Rufas. It is also the starting point for the descent of the canyons of La Peonera and the Dark ones of Balces.
On the banks of the Alcanadre you can make a beautiful excursion that, passing through the Mill Valley, leads to the Hermitage of the Trinity, a popular and simple construction that was erected in the eighteenth century. The towns of Las Almunias, Pedruel and San Saturnino share the ownership of the chapel and the responsibility for its maintenance.
Activities. Thanks to the existence of an old ditch derived from the river Alcandre, it was possible the existence of a flour mill, which despite its abandonment, can be observed each of the pieces and mechanisms that allowed its operation.
